Nice Investment! How does it compare to the 60D ? I'm thinking about investing into that.

Investing into a 60D or a 5D3?

Well if you compare it to other crop sensor cameras like the rebel series I like it A LOT better! Comparing a 60D to a 5D3 is like comparing a Fiat to an Audi.

Okay,Thats a good comparison.So would you recommend the 60D ?

I would indeed. If you can afford it the 7D is a wise choice as well.

Does the extra $200 really make a difference ? How ?

Better auto-focus system, 8fps continuous shooting vs 5.3fps, 100% view finder (96% on the 60D is annoying), less shutter lag, better button lay-out. If those things don't mean much to you go for the 60D.

Great photo I just recently got Canon's 50mm f/1.8 lens for my birthday (your lens was triple the price at $300 and my parents didn't want to spend too much) and I have to say, I find these sorts of photos breathtaking. The 50mm prime has taken over as my new primary portrait and subject lens, I just love it to bits.

Love the statue

Hey thanks! I had the 50 1.8 back when I had my 60D and I must say I didn't like the 80mm equivalent focal length like you will experience on your t4i. If you find the 50mm f1.8 to "zoomed in" for your liking I would suggest the 35mm f/2 canon makes as your next lens. That will give you a equivalent of 56mm on your crop sensor. Much closer to the 50mm used in my photo here with a full frame sensor. Good luck to you!

Is this because the lens I purchased is an EF and not an EFS? It doesn't bother me too much. When I need close-ups, I can simply switch to my 18-55
