What are you casting in the mold when you are done? Resin?
If I had been doing it I would have cut the piece in half at the waist if at all. The arms shouldn't be a big issue if you are pouring in a large hole like the waist and if you make little vents for air to escape at what ends up being the highest point on the hands. You make a tiny channel from the highest point up to the top of the mold. The air will rapidly escape from even a tiny channel. You can make multiple little vents from any and all problem areas just route them up to the top of the mold if what you are pouring is very thin and stays liquid for a fairly long period of time. I cast mostly clay and I can run vents out the sides too because it will set up before it runs out but it lets any air out and you only have a tiny little nib where the casting medium goes into the vent to trim away rather than multiple areas to stick back together and fix up.

Yep, Clear resin with red coloring. I was casting 808 resin, with a 30 second cure time and a crazy deadline I had to choose the fastest and the more reliable way to get all that resin in there. Broken up like the model was, I was able to make only slight cuts in the silicone so very little seaming. I molded, cleaned, assembled and painted 7 figures in one night... then... passed out ;-P
