I remember seeing this a while ago at OC and going "....wow."
It still gives me that same reaction. I don't know if it's the shading, the background, the hands, or the metallic parts. Maybe it's all of them. But I love this.

Thank you so much, I greatly apreciate it, even if I've taken so damned long to reply. Hmm, I wasn't really interested in making a bloody piece, it's not... supposed to be unnatural for he/she/it to sprout that tail, I think, so it'll be like Wolverine getting claws or something. Or it's washed away by the water. Actually another argument someone came with, that there'd hardly be blood at all because it'd completely dissolve into the water. I'm actually more thinking it's a mix of blood and oil. I can't remember too much anymore, it's 1½ year ago now that the concept came to me.

This is the most kick ass random-thought-inspired art I have seen in a long time. I get those little wacko fantasies too but mine are hardly ever good enough to illustrate--or maybe I am just not properly impressed with their potential. I LOVE the city-place in the background on the lake-floor, and the blood leaking out of the places where the steel sprung forth. It makes me want to write a story to go with this but I am so backlogged. I just added a fav oekaki from you too, dammit. You ass, you are taking more than your fair share of my favorites.
