Hum, I installed Opera 7.something and it's funny, really, because I have the beta tester icon, but the only beta feature that works (and it's buggy anyway) is the hover-over-link thumbnails

yes, and just that feature screws things up on a slow connection. I try to select text, mouse gets over a link and suddenly the text selection ends while it tries to fetch the thumbnail - and the thumbnail server must be really slow, 'cause my connection doesn't take long to fetch a few bytes even if it's slow.
