OMG yes! I love the dc universe and all its variations, especially The Riddler if you couldn't tell, I can't believe the level of quality and detail your drawings have when designing them. They look like characters that could be put into the comics/cartoons.

He kind of has that vibe, doesn't he? It wasn't my intention but I do remember that short. Whish they'd been able to make more.

Riddler is one of the few highly intelligent villains in Gotham. I'm not saying the most rogues gallery are dumb but there are only few that have the brain of a prodigy in his prime.

I could definitely see Riddler as a hacker. It's what he was in the Arkham franchise. I'm glad you kept the cane and I love the hollow screen.

I still like the hacker idea, I think I could still improve on this design though. Maybe one of these days I'll take another stab at it.

I am loving the mask design. Hell, the whole outfit is just so stylish. I would think the helmet hides his voice and identity as another riddle he wants Batman and his enemies to solve. Adds to the mystery.

Interesting. It seems like the Riddler might be one of the hardest Batman villains to design costumes for, mainly because he walks the fine line between costumes that are too flashy and costumes that aren't flashy enough. I like this version, it looks practical and fits his personality, but also has that element of flair that separates a supervillain from a common criminal.

He really is, while in general they're all a bit hard to design because they're so well established the Riddler in particular presents his own issues. Push it to far and he starts to lose part of his character to little and you haven't really done anything with the character either.

Yeah I had spellbinder on the mind and I like the willy wonka bit. It didn't occur to me but he does have a bit of Wonka in him.

I could have gone the bowler route and I love that tpye of hat. However, everyone has drawn it at this point. The idea behind the mask is that the domino mask did nothing to hide his identity so why even wear it? I figure before Batman solves and out who Nygma is he has the mask. Adding another layer or riddle to his identity. Later on in his career he wouldn't wear the mask or it'd server as a sort of interface similar to Ironmans helmet.

I see. I just never seen him with a mask that completely covers his face so I wasn't quite sure how to feel about it. Kind of like my thing about your Penguin's hair.
Not to knock on your art of course. It still looks great

Critiques are part of the job and I enjoy hearing about what people like and dislike. Helps me refine my skills and either adjust or do a better job of representing my idea.

I still think the bowler hat could work, if you put it over the mask. I always thought the hacker angle would also be a good direction to take him in, though I thought personally, he'd be a bit more like Anarchy from the comics, if you know him. He's essentially an anarchist, anti-authority super villain who wears an outfit just like Batman's, only pure white & uses his gadgets & expertise to commit crimes or "tear down the establishment" as he calls it. He recently showed up in episodes of Beware The Batman. Anyway, I always figured that would be a cool way to approach the Riddler, as he never did seem to be as straightforwardly evil or criminal as Batman's other foes.

Yeah, that'd be cool! You know, this might sound silly, but like, what would a female Riddler be like? Like I think the Riddler and Clayface are one of the few Batman villains you could change the gender of without it being to obvious. I mean, I think Frank Gorshim's manic energy could translate well to a female character, even though the character may come across a bit to much like Harley Quinn. I think a female Clayface could especially work, since body image issues are much more strongly associated with Women & actresses, & the show Batman Beyond had a female shapeshifter called Inque anyway, so it's like something that's never been done before.

That's an interesting idea, they're gender could be flipped unlike some characters. In a way they did this in the comics with Scarface giving him a female Ventriloquist though she was a completely new character. I feel like that would be the way to go even if I was to change the gender, while they'd be the Riddler they'd have a new identity but similar fixations.

Yeah. I mean, they did gender flip the Thor in the comics, though I don't think that turned out quite as planned. Evidently, if your'e wondering where I got the idea for a female Riddler, it's this:lyrafay.tumblr.com/
