Read up some more lore. Apparently, Widowmaker got her name for a reason.
She was once known under her real name, Amélie Lacroix, and was married to an Overwatch agent, Gérard Lacroix, who was leading operations against the terrorist organisation Talon. After several unsuccessful attempts to eliminate Gérard, Talon decided to change its focus to his wife. They kidnapped her and subjected her to an intense program of neural reconditioning. They broke her will, suppressed her personality, and reprogrammed her as a sleeper agent. She was eventually found by Overwatch agents, apparently none the worse for wear, and returned to her normal life. Two weeks later she killed Gérard in his sleep and returned to Talon, where they completed the process of turning her into a living weapon.

So, this is practically my imagined version of the murder.
Being no good at all at editing skin colour, I thought of compensating with some sort of nightly blue colour scheme instead. I am not sure it worked though...
