I always thought it'd be cool if hunters could tame their own mount, but to make things fare, it needs to be like...months grind like for legendaries imo. Because if hunter just walks around taming anything mount looking they'll have a disadvantage in collection number

Maybe only have certain things you can tame for mounts. Like how you can only tame Juvenile creature as pets?
