Caring // Aster glanced down at the jaguar with concern. "Of course, if you don't feel up to going out we can always stay in camp."

Reserved // She nervously sucked her tail in front of her paws. "I... I'm Aster."

Curious // Her interest sparked, she padded towards the healer's den, where it was coming from. Aster flattened her ears back, eyes a-glow with curiosity and a tinge of hesitation, as she peeked through the entrance.

Determined // Her voice had grown in confidence over the course of their conversation and now she didn't hesitate or stumble. "Well it seems none of us really know what we're doing but what does it matter."

Biography:

Aster is a small cat with a big heart, especially for her friends. She is very reserved due to the brutality of growing up watching arena fights and because of what happened to her mother. Getting to know other cats is one of her weakest points, as she is always unsure about herself and doesn't want to be judged. When she sees another cat in need, however, she never hesitates to help them out or offer up some encouragement.

History:

Aster was born in the city to a seasoned gladiator who owned a few animals for the pit fights. She only ever knew her mother, a battle-hardened Asiatic lion. All she can remember of her father is his fluffy grey spotted fur - her mother said he was a snow leopard, some say a Bounty Hunter possibly.

Her mother planned to escape the arena matches, and managed to one night when their cage was left unlocked by a drunk servant. The lion ran through the dark city streets with Aster in her jaws, managing to make it through the city gates before being stopped. However, one of the Hunters patrolling the gates sounded the alarm and a patrol was sent out to find her.

They barely made it through Shadow Empire's territory and had crossed into Fire Empire when the Hunter caught up with them. The lioness quickly hid Aster in a clump of bushes and then faced the patrol. Already weak from her last arena match, she didn't stand a chance against the Hunters and was quickly brought down by the Hunters who killed her and dragged her body back to Massilia for their reward.

The small lion hybrid had managed to remain hidden until the next day where she ran into a Fire Empire patrol. She was taken in as an Empire apprentice and managed to adjust to their way of life.

As far as being a fighter, Aster falls short. Ever since seeing her mother brutalized by the Hunters, she has had a fear of killing and violence in general. She can't stand the thought of laying a claw on anyone and stubbornly fights against her battle training. If she is ever to get over her fear of blood, she might one day make an acceptable fighter.

Because of her short, stalky frame, and fear of attacking, she is mostly good at defensive fighting. She is a great hunter, using her spotted pelt to blend in with the dappled light of the trees and stalk her prey.

-Aster currently owns her first set of simple apprentice armor - her full armor will be given to her when she becomes a gladiator
