He enjoys pranking others, but has toned down the intensity of his schemes after accidentally burning his classroom during middle school. In the past, he would have set up elaborate schemes to slime people or render their showers useless, but Daichi now prefers giggling quietly at those who can't seem to find their pens only to discover them later in their shoe.

He enjoys physical activities such as sport, hiking, cooking, and working in groups. Hyperactive and boisterous, Daichi is rarely seen not smiling.

★ Biography: Daichi grew up an only child with parents who were always out of the country on business. Due to that, they were somewhat distant from him, and left him mostly to his own devices. Despite his boisterous nature, Daichi enjoys reading, and during the times he was home alone, he took to reading the many books in his father's study. In particular, Daichi was interested in astronomy and myth and lore, and so over the years, made various purchases of books regarding that field. Though he dislikes large, open spaces as they remind him of his house and the vast emptiness of it, he became curious about all of the planets and stars that filled the seemingly endless void, and endeavoured to learn more about it.

He grew up with several caretakers, and moved frequently, which made it hard to develop any strong friendships (although always lugged along his entire collection of books). Though his caretakers protested, Daichi insisted that he learn to cook for himself, and was pleasantly surprised when he found that he really enjoyed cooking.

To amuse himself, and to get his parents to notice him (though he'd never admit this), Daichi began to play pranks on people, and his schemes eventually grew out of control. After his expulsion from his first middle school for burning part of his classroom, his parents, having been worried about him, decided it was time to settle in a permanent residence in Japan. Daichi couldn't be happier with this arrangement, and is happy that his parents finally seem to have time for him.

In seeing his enthusiasm for the astronomy field, they suggested he apply for Hoshizora High, and Daichi, fearing his record would be a disadvantage, studied hard to get good grades despite the difficulty.
