Hiroshi first met the Enkeranger while still possessed by the evil spirit Wrath (bearer of the Yasei Enke). After freeing himself, he is appointed as the new leader of the Enkeranger (in place of Captain Hizushi that passed away).

His Kouri Enke allows him to manipulate ice. His EnkeWaza is the "Freezing Soul" where he launches his shield, freezes the enemy and uses the returning shield to break the ice sculpture.
