Description
Well, here it is. My apoligies for posting a lil later than i thought, I spent perhaps an extra 2 1/2 hours more on the piece.Thysan-bay just continues my living landscapes fascination, and was nothing more than an excercise to try and iron out a few problems i had, which i thought were glaring in "The Insightful". Mainly flat colours. The tones are still muted to some degree in this. but i have nailed the creative process. No strong hiccups for me during the duration of creating this piece, and certainly twice as easy as my previous effort. still around 25 hrs shaved off
. Of course i feel i still have a loooong ways to go yet before i am totally happy with my skill. I'll work on em next time

A massive...gateway? Above the clouds! Nice job, unless the atmosphere meens that the clouds form two meters above the ground.........

Living Landscapes that happen to be very beautiful.... I wish I could go to a place like that in reality, where the planets are living beings..... the Gaia concept...
I hope to be able to someday afford to collect some of your ART pieces. They are so beautiful, that I would love to have one to hang onto my walls for all my friends to see.

Your very welcome! My favorite art piece you did is Thysan-Bay! It was so beautiful, I had to make it my desktop pattern on my work computer... It looks like a massive alien ship coming to dock at a port of some kind. Very cool!
I wish I could meet the aliens on that ship!!

Incredible. The sheer vastness and depth of the structure is so well conveyed in the colour muting in the distance. I feel as though i'd be purely awed in the presence of such a place. The vast, towering apexes towering down towards me, bathed in the warm, soft light of a low sun. This is absolutely stunning, and reminds me fondly of those places I dreamed of when little. Today, it reminds me of places where I wish to be, where the physical laws of architecture and reality melt away to produce a world of visionary sights and sounds.

Hmm... You say you are a long way from being happy with your skills?
Well, surely to say, your skill surpasses many.
This is a nice peice. Although a bit bland in a way, I do like the way the sky looks.
But overall its a nice peice. I wish I could do something like this.

I started illustrating end 2002. and it's taken me till now to realise i always could do this, but my brain convinced me otherwise. Having faith in your own ability is 99 percent of the cure to improving...in my humble opinion. thats my reply to your last sentance btw.. hehe
