Description And now for something...completely different.

I've mentioned in my profile I'm getting into photography some of late. It all started at work actually, by being dissatisfied with the photos we had on hand of our bakery products. I knew with a little work I could do much better.

And so over the course of several months, with a little research and a lot of self-teaching, I did do better, using the little 5MP point-and-shoot camera we had, always operating in full manual mode. But still I wasn't satisfied with the results I was getting. Too much noise in the photos, even in with a low ISO setting of 100 or 200.

So then I did a lot of research, convinced the boss to purchase a camera (a Nikon D7000), along with several lenses, a tripod and a basic lighting setup. I struggled at first, never having used a DSLR. But in a few months, I started being able to consistently produce results like the picture you see above.

Voila! Much better.

Ahh, a bread lover I take it?

I'll admit, a nice piece of fresh, warm french bread with some Kerrygold Irish butter smothered across, melting into the crust is...

Well, you know.

This is probably a question I already know the answer to, but ever had soup in a sourdough bread bowl?

Like with chicken soup? Or black bean soup? Perhaps tomato garlic soup? And all that soupy goodness soaked into the carved, crusty walls of that sourdough bread?

Yum is an understatement.

Sorry Ariel! I'm torturing you some, aren't I? I'm notorious for teasing friends with food descriptions and pictures

But really, you've got to find a place that serves soup in bread bowls. Doesn't even have to be sourdough...any type of bread with a firm crust will do. Heck, you could even try making your own. Out here in the states we've got a place called Panera Bread. It's kind of like in between a fast food joint and a sit down restaurant. Your food isn't ready immediately, but you don't tend to wait more than 5-10 minutes, at which point the pager you're given will start to buzz and you pick up your order. Their soups, sandwiches and breads are quite tasty indeed!

And of course they offer soup in bread bowls.

'TIS DELICIOUS!

I'm sorry there's none there Your only option would probably be trying to make your own version, although I imagine it would be a pain to do. I'm not sure how they carve out the bread to give it a bowl-like shape. Perhaps some kind of coring tool.

I'd send ya one if I could, but I don't think it'd travel too well
