I really got a lot of inspiration for my costume from your gear. Great work. I might even show up in Germany for a larp sometime in the future.

Take a look at my gallery. Probably won't make it to CoM this year but I'll do my best to get there next year.

I browsed your galery and really enjoyed your shaman/troll thing.
Would really like to see you in action. This year i wont make it to ConQuest, same as next year. I dislike going there as orc/troll due to way toooo much human players and "friendly orcs". Not my play style

Nice that you liked it. It's kind of hard to judge what to go like in German larps since I have know idea how they work. We have a totally different system here in Sweden. We don't make any separation between player characters and NPCs as I think you do. And we don't have any real breaks, it's just 24/7 larping. There are no play areas and on top of that we don't have access to all these luxury things like showers or modernly cooked food. Here it's the lake open fires.

It would be cool to try something different, and I can't deny that a shower would be heaven during a long larp.

That's not a 100% right.
Most LARPs are 47/7 intime as well in Germany. Especially i think it is a question of the players will. But the orc-scene in Germany got a nearly 24h intime. There are just 2-3 hours in the morning after getting up, when we eat something and then begin to paint and fix our masks.
The modernly cooked food and showers are mostly on human side of the Cons. And overall i guess there are only 10% of Cons with showers. Mostly you can be happy to have a Dixi and not to shit into the wood
But i am really interested in your non-division of players and NPCs. Aren't there moments when the game coordination (in german SL, Spielleitung) gives you information who to attack next or stuff like that? Dont understand me wrong, mostly me and my orcs are on Cons as players. But sometimes when we are out of money we go NPC, because they often go free or just 10 Euro.

In general i really would like to take part in a swedish LARP. I already noticed lots of differences of german larp to czech. I know some people who went to Denmark and even just 50km from Kiel to Denmark change a lot

Well not that luxury then . Sounds like we are at about the same level there.

No I've never been told by a SL (we actually use the same name and it probably has the same meaning) to do this or that. At the start of a larp, or idealy a few days ahead of it, you get what we call intrigues. It's basically a bit of information your character know or some loose motives for your character. It's much more common that players talk among each other if they want to arrange a scene.

The Spielleitungs task is to deal with the practical and to create the main plot. Once the larp has started it's basically out of their hands.

I think that fighting is much less common here in Sweden. I've probably been to 25 larps (each at least two days) stretched over 8 years and I don' think I've been involved in fights in more then 8 of them. But that's starting to change. Now we have a greater variety with larps focused around fighting and others with just drama.

By the way do you use referees? I've watched a few youtube vids and seen some t-shirt wearing guys running around. If we saw something like that here there would be an outrage. If anyone wear anything other then wool, leather, or linnen they are frowned upon.

The only time you go for free is if you work at the inn or as a musician.

It would be awesome if you came here for a larp. Kind of a field trip Always cool to see other larp cultures.

Your coordination on SL sounds interesing. There are some LARPs of that kind in germany an well. On that Cons the SL is just used to coordinate the medics etc when a big battle is approaching and stuff like that. And the "T-Shirt-Guys" you saw in the vid are mostly the SLs. In Combats they are used to help players in the first row up, if they fall to the ground, cause its way do dangerous when there are 300 guys behind them pushing. And if someone got a hit to the head or is injured they call STOP, to prevent further injuries.
I hope that explains a bit the function of our SLs
But you re right, i hate them wearing Outtime-cloth. They could serve as SLs even with wool..

greetings
