Description My first card I did for Fantasy Flight Games last year. I feel it still holds up surprisingly well despite it being almost one year since I painted it. Thanks for looking!

I've now made a facebook page with my stuff. So feel free to go there and comment and whatnot

Mysterious and awesome!   What are the secrets that this solitary traveler found in this ancient stone?

This is The Black Stone from R.E. Howard's story of the same name.  People who look at it too long go mad.  Those who sleep below the black stone have night terrors for the rest of their lives.  Those who dare to take a hammer to it end up dead mysteriously.

The Black Stone was the first Mythos story I ever read.

Well done Mr. Wievegg.  I hope you answer the messages I've send you.

There's something enticing about things like this, whether ancient relics of some sort or something else, just being lone reminders of civilization in the middle of nowhere. It's something that's really been drawing my attention recently and I'll be damned if I don't find some way to work this in my writing!

I'm soon going to be starting a YouTube channel that highlights interesting sources of creativity that most people overlook. One of the first videos I plan on doing is about found objects like this. Might I be able to feature this in it? I will, of course, credit you!

Does this stone have any powers? Or is it just a really pretty stone?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

thomaswievegg In reply to Pringle-man [2013-05-21 08:16:00 +0000 UTC]

I'm not sure, possibly somekind of power. There is a text on the card that says "The Inuit legends claimed the megalit had stood there before man walked the earth" So I would guess it holds somekind of power

Pringle-man In reply to thomaswievegg [2013-05-21 09:14:14 +0000 UTC]

Maybe it's like the standing stones on skyrim and you get some trait like healing or shit like that
