I've been working under a contract for about a month now. an interesting experience. haven't posted anything due to contractual obligations. this is the cover for a book called The Blood That Bonds. I've been working on the cover and 15 b+w character illustrations. Can't post them yet, but i figure i can post the cover. The style of the cover matches the character illustrations. The client wanted a grimy, dirty urban look to things. this was done pretty quickly once we had solidified on an image. we went through about 4 other ideas and 2 alterations of this idea for the cover.
ref used was an olympic swimmer and my gf.
