Semi-Realism sketch of Reita, the bassist from the Japanese visual/indy rock band "The Gazette". I've been told that this is "realism," however, it still has to many cartoon-like features to be considered as such.Time: 2h 15min
Materials: Graphite 2B "Artists" pencil, mechanical pencil

congrats on sucessfully drawing him, I always had issues especially without a referance/drawing even with creating a grid to enlarge a picture to scale. the bandage is the hardest in my opinion-and yours turned out really well. Although it'snot entirely realism(cause I get what you mean about certain features not being quite so) you did make a large portion of it so. it's really good

Semi-realism is good; I do semi-realism.
Really good job conveying volume/depth with the hair especially. I guess the wrinkles on the nose-cloth could use a little defining, but wrinkles are pain in the arse to get right
