First try on cirno... :3Anyway, I never draw Cirno because I want to master first the Ice Effect... But now... I found something interesting...
There are many mistakes in this composition, so I want to present this work so that others would also get an idea of how to redesign, work and paint Cirno...
Cirno is best and easy to present in non-symmetry. As you can see in the painting, symmetry doesn't work much on her. Because Ice is a random patterned object.
Her colours are too light, therefore to contrast the lightness, her background must be dark. Now this is difficult 'coz Ice is cold, and you must be thinking Snow would do an effect. But no, Snow will not work on her. And besides, Cirno's ice is crystal. The snow character on touhou is letty whiterock, also known as the Youkai of Winter.
You might be thinking, maybe I just couldn't pull out Cirno that's why I fail on her. I won't deny. That's why I'm telling my insights on how to work on her :3
Anyway hope you still like it... I'm working on my second cirno to prove my insights and what I shared on this work. :3

Wow, this piece is makes you not want to piss off Cirno.
I can see the different challenges that you considered while doing this piece, and I think you've tackled them well, especially the contrast between the background and her clothes, skin and ice. Great job overall.
