Back towards the end of the cold war Rolls Royce and British Airspace came up with the idea for HOTOL, which went vaguely nowhere as usual, however at some point, I think after the end of the cold war there was the suggesting that HOTOL could be launched from the back of an An225.
I would what the linage from HOTOL to SKYLON is as they both have an air breathing component.

Yes, when BAe disillusioned in an air breathing engine RB-145, that HOTOL was changed into Interim-HOTOL, with only rocket engine. And this, final and least-risky version of HOTOL could be launched from the back of an An225.
