Oh did i have fun painting and inking this beauty. With flowing flames and wavy fur. I wanted to bring the original japanese wood block style just as much as what the okami game is influenced on. With a golden background, it really helps the picture pop out more.

Nice!! Looks like something that would be in the game. How long did it take? Also, U said u use akrilic ink and pen on cardboard. is that different to working on paper in any way, or is it basicly the same?

i would say this took about a weeks time. i didn't want to rush it. cardboard is very different then paper not just by the weight but how certain materials Β can be used on it. i used acrylic ink on cardboard because i can ink the picture first then add the ink, without the colored ink covering up the original ink work. i can also add a soft ink wash without it damaging the material. only certain papers can have water like watercolor paper. but it does not go great with small ink pens.Β
