if you look at the drawing you can see that the ear and eye are separate

yeah ik its the right ear, the ear is covering the eye. that's why theres a part where the lineart of the eye separates from the ear. so its not in the eye

But it is, if you look closely when the ear goes on top of the eye it becomes a different shade of blue, indicating that it's in fact going through the eye.Β

you can interpret it any way you like, just know that when I was drawing this piece that I drew it under the ear

TheWildWolfy In reply to Totoro-Draws [2017-08-10 00:08:02 +0000 UTC]
excuse me, but I'm not the one here who needs the glasses. if the eye was in the ear then there would be white where the ear is
thus, the eye is no in the ear.

I never said you needed glasses, I simply asked if you had some, Also you are very, incorrect, I could make a refrence of it. And I could also ask my friends if they see it too.

The one who is incorrect here is you, you cant accept that the eye in under the ear. The ear and the eye are separate, they are not in each other. A bunch of artists do the same. Clearly you do not have enough experience with these kinds of things. So don't say that its "wrong" or "incorrect". People can do whatever the hell they want with their art. People don't just go around saying "thats wrong" to other artist. Art can be whatever it wants to be, people interpret it in different ways. So don't go and try to push your ideals onto to me. In my eyes and in many other peoples eyes, this is correct. Don't go nitpicking at other peoples art

It's literally right there everyone could see it. And it's not my fault I can't avoid nitpicking and "pushing" my ideals on someone, It's a habit. In my eyes and other people I knows' eyes it is incorrect.

there's no point in this conversation anymore, we aren't going to agree on anything. we both have different opinions on this matter. so lets just end it here since we' just end up repeating the same thing

lol don't mind them they bother every oneΒ about silly things and doesn't know what stylistic choice is haha

It's a stylistic choice. They do it on purpose.
That's how art works, it doesn't have to be realistic or accurate haha

I don't think she did it on purpose, she keeps on saying the eye is not through the ear.

When talking about the drawing in the sense that, if recreated in a 3D space, the eye would not be intersecting with the ear. The eye would be where the eye should be: on the face and not seen through the ear. In the drawing, you can see the line work of the eye, even though in reality it would not be visible, because it is a stylistic choice. There are many other artists that do this, especially in anime or anime inspired styles.

As you can see in these images, the line work of the eye and eyebrows can be seen through the hair, as to better show the emotion and expression of the character. This picture is using the same stylistic choice.

lol it is literaly the same thing but whatever I can't make you understand an art technique

Making an art technique shouldn't Β include eyes overlapping on hair, ears, and etc.
