I dunno what's exactly the story behind this. what came first, the arrow or the burnt wings? eh...

It's sad to see him like this, poor guy, I bet that that must hurt a lot, and also the burning wings, it was a cool idea to draw them like this, but still, poor Alex. The drawing is awesome, very well drawn and Alex is a cool chara that's I like seeing. Good job with the burning/rooting wings, and with the pose too.
BTW Good idea to make the wing exit the background, I like when people do that.

How to kill your dragon
My personal guess to what happened is that was flying very high and someone came (with a helicopter?) and shot him with an arrow. Falling through the atmosphere his wings caught on fire, and burned.
Also, is that blue thing blood?

Yeah, I found a couple of other plot holes in there too...Alex must have fallen quite a bit, and would probably have broken a few limbs from the fall.
And mint blood? That sounds like...delicious? Err...I don't know...

and yes, his blood is delicious but it'll freeze you to death too, unless you're a fire dragon or immune to very cold temperature

Wow...I'm finally replying to the old stuff
Nifelheim is one of the nine worlds in norse mythology. It is a world of ice and I think life too. It is however really, really cold there.
It is opposed by Muspelheim, the world fire and deserts. One of the two worlds symbolises life while the other symbolises death, but I don't know which one does.
Together with Jotunheim the three worlds make up the "evil" part of the tree "Yggdrasil". Which is basically the universe of norse mythology.
