i closed my eyes
a simple sigh
and the dreaming
came to me.
in my land of far away
(one that i once knew)
a child no longer
forgotten.
i gathered all
my strength
as i stepped into
make believe.
my hands lifted
a smile upon my lips
i released my self
into my land of far away.
"come with me!"
i heard my own voice cry
to the world below
seizing the moment
as i flew above those clouds.
feeling myself let out
my dreams and wishes
from my very soul.
and i knew that in those clouds
i had found my home.

I know some of you dislike reading poetry (or reading in general..ha) but You must read this poem..it is the heart, soul and inspiration behind the image

Beautiful piece of work.
I love that the butterflies go off the frame and the great detail in each and every aspect.
This would look amazing as a HUGE print. Maybe 24x36.

one of these things is not like the other ones, one of these things just doesn't belong. This lovely picture gave me a chuckle because so much of your stuff is very macabre and then you throw this seemingly random, wonderfully cheery picture of butterflies.

It's a good poem--not the sort I normally sit down and read, mind you, my personal tastes run elsewhere--but a good poem. Somehow my mind does not connect it with the image you've made, and I don't know why.
