my amy winehouse painting!this is my second watercolour painting! i was experimenting with some watercolour yesterday and it was more fun then i expected. i felt like doing an amy winehouse today.
i wanted to depict her in a more positive way then her life was and how her image was towards the audience, since she is a great inspiration to many people and she had an amazing talent and style. so i decided to paint her in bright colours.
i used fine liners, ink and watercolours

What are inks like? I never used them but have seen amazing effects being used! Like yours!

inks are waaaaaaay more pegmented on the papier, like the birds and the notes, those black tones give it more a 'blackest black' effect. in this painting i used a pink and a black ink. u can probably see that the pink i brighter too. you could blend them out very well with watercolours with water. its actually like watercolours, only more brighter and pegmented

i dont have much knowledge about ink, but i use indian ink. i dont think the brand really matters. you could look for ecoline too, i think its the name for coloured ink but im not sureXD
