Description I've always found it interesting that owls have these huge mouths, but most of the time you only see their tiny little beaks. Then they open their mouth to eat a mouse and MAWWWWWW it's like their entire heads open up and swallow the rodent whole.

It's just an interesting animal design I've been wanting to use.

In case you haven't realized, Archipelago is pretty much one big excuse for me to draw strange animals.

The middle panel on the bottom. The Furryviciousfangyowlbearcatthing looks particularly cute. ^^ I would hug it. But it might swallow me whole.

Totoro was my very first introduction to anime as a child, and it's had a huge affect on what I consider awesome and cute. My childhood also was pretty much me running around with my little brother running after screaming "HEY YOU GUYS WAIT UUUUP."
