*DOWNLOAD FOR FULLVIEW!*This is that picture I was talling about with the willow tree and such, I finally decided to put in my characters Tiqa and Kuvodo ouo
The weather's been like this for the past few days, and I love it! It's so calm and I like the sound of the rain, and I guess it just gives me a sense of security in my warm dry house.
I've been working on this for the past 2 days, not sure how long it took me but I really love how it turned out ouo
And I think I'ma ask for critiques on this one 8D

For the tree's leaves, I think you could make them stand out a little more. They look like a blurr, and if you look at a real willow, it's not so blurry. The trunk looks a bit wierd to me, because its going one direction and the leaves block it and then It's going a different direction... You get what I mean?
And the rain is going one way that suggest a wind is blowing but then the leaves are straight and still. You should make the leaves look like the wind is moving them. Same for the grass. And the kitty's tail. I like your choice of colours, but Maybe the leaves and grass could be a leeeeeeeetle bit darker, because the clouds are covering the sky, after all.
I really like how you made the cat outlined... Like how you made the raindrops bouncing off her fur, it certainly adds to the picture. I like the splashes on the water, but I'm not sure that they could splash on mud... And the disoriented reflections are MUCH better than what I could do.

I like the realismish blend with the river and willow, but the tree looks kinda small in comparison. I guess that's good in a way too, you don't want to overpower the main focus of the picture. Overall I like it, better than what I can do on my tablet.

well you seem to have a very 2D sense to the drawing- and willow trees are a lot larger than that lol. There's a good foreground, a good middle-groundgorund (you should practice on shading to be darker in some places..) but there's no realictic/detailed area- it looks like the world just drops off and there's clouds behind it. I suggest with this maybe you could do gently rolling farmland or maybe distant faded mountains.. distant trees or something. You can still see the detail in the grass at it's farthest distance- when in photos it'd be more of a patchy colouring.If you look at the angle of the drawing... seeming to be pointing down at the subject- the horizon line would be way highter on the page.
Also, I'd like to suggest- all this grass is the same length and shade- maybe cattails or ferns on the edge of the water would look better and more realistic.. and as it doesn't seem to be anyone's lawn or anything- the grass would look at least a foot or so high, and varying (not so flat of land- cause no ground is really that flat unless it's urban)
