Amazing. Some things are so beautiful when left without color...

I love it. Mostly because now a days a comic is digital crap with plastic-shading and costs about $6 an issue. SO, I think it's save to say this is amazing. You really bring the texture, shading and old way of the comic book industry to it's prime. Bravo.

First of all, applause for portraying Hiroshima in comic book fashion. It's something which I'm pretty sure has only been done once before (Barefoot Gen, 1972) and it's not an easy thing to do. I'm definitely gonna have to read the rest of the pages.
I absolutely love how you show a single scene during three stages of time. I've gotta try that; it's very effective. The couple in the foreground shows that almost no time is passing as the world plunges into chaos.
Well done.

This is definitely amazing!! I've stood at just about the same spot of this picture. I also stood directly below where the a-bomb was dropped... very scary. I can't believe that building is still intact, the bomb was so powerful.

wow... thats deep. i saw the a-bomb dome and all the memorials there; its still quite touching how much people remember the impact that had on the people of japan. this is an excellent representation of the type of feeling that went on while the bomb dropped, even if some of the minute details (airplane lettering, sun placement) are wrong. congrats on the dd, and now im gonna go check out the rest of your gallery. props.

very strong work, well done.
perhaps correcting the little mistake on the lettering (not USAir Force at the time), but other than that, quite original and quite strong.

Chilling. Kudos to you. I love how the horizontal gutters compartmentalize the emotional centers of the piece - especially the second and third gutters.

Jark... I really wanted to believe that the art was about same sex marriage and the courts trying to destroy it... so.. I'm sorry if I see something that no one else sees... I don't understand everything... its not like the guy explained his work... the side of the aircraft said Gay on it... and the building looked like a Catholic church
so i created a story i wanted to see...
I'm so sorry if you found it offensive
I thought it was a wake up call
I am pro same sex marriage
not that you care... so sorry for not being able to stay on topics you want to...
did someone complain... or did you just choose to take action?
again... quite sorry

comments regarding daily deviation features are not to be made on the deviation itself. if you have issues with our selections then talk to those who do the featuring. the artist that is being featured should not have to deal with such immaturity seeing as they had no play in their art being selected as a feature.
this is a site policy and failure to adhere will result in administrative action.

Great expression. Really contrasts the light in which the victory is usually portrayed in. Scray when you think of how they're all about to die.

Good work. The lettering on the aircraft is wrong though. The US Air Force only came into being in 1947. At the time of Hiroshima they were still the US Army Air Forces.
