Every day is a waking dream
Played out on the white washed screens
Behind my eyes that project no lies
To this wooden heart
Pumping scenes of life as art
Onto the stage of a dream
And every day is a dream

And I know that it ain't right
But I wish it weren't so wrong
To see you in the falling rain
To hear your name in trees gentle sway
For in their spoken breeze, as a falling leaf
I float sinking to my knees

But every day is a waking dream
And every day your face is seen
Behind my eyes, on the stage of my mind
Playing everyday dreams
Full of everyday scenes
Of you
Dreaming of me
