I keep getting white spots on paintings that I scan,Anyone know why?

Hi James,
Thank you for the kind comment. This peice was done mainly with a fan brush for the fur, But I went through 3 canvas boards to get this final one,I had lots of trouble with the eyes and they are still off a little. Also the nose (but I had to end it. )

That is a really cool piece, I love old things you might have residue on the inside of your scanner, you might try washing it of with a dry cloth. Or you could just have a bad scanner like mine

Thanks I found another bunch of old photos to work from.And yes I cleaned the scanner bed, And I think you are correct, That my scanner is going bad. Guess I will have to live with it for a while. Thank you again!
