Photo is a bit of bad quality but better than some of the webcam photos you see around and before you begin mentioning Mary Poppins, she wasn't the inspiration, as =truemarmalade was swift to point out when I showed him the design

I use a vector program called Macromedia Fireworks MX (it's essentially like Adobe Illustrator) and I each figure is typically composed of four shapes, as well as all the indentations that define everything. The hard part is never deciding what to add but working out how I can take as many elements away

And what a coincidence, I have Macromedia Fireworks to, its a very nice programm, and i think its better than photoshop

When they're that simple, underspray can ruin the form of it, so you have to make sure it positvely won't come through in a big way. Thanks : )

are you spraying a green background and then a white character? That's what it looks like from the overspray....wouldn't it be easier to take the cutout from the stencil, adhesive that to the white canvas, and then spray the green around that so its a reverse stencil? Just a thought, I like this series

Aye, white on green. I've thought about doing that but it won't help to eliminate the underspray any better. Also spraying through a stencil means I don't have to spend ages lining up and rotating cut out shapes to be just right. I'll be selling these, so the ability to spend as little time on each is a factor.
I keep the offcuts though, so I can have fun with them another day
