Dr. Stein and Dr. Evil are both evil scientists, right? Dr. Evil and I both own a hairless cat, right? So why not combine all that to make Dr. Stein even more crazy?
Haha, I really don't know where this came from. XD Frolicking around the house in my Dr. Stein cosplay one day I picked up my (Traditional Sphinx) cat Streakers and sat down to pet him. Though I've never seen any of the Austin Powers movies, I know enough from people always calling Streakers Mr. Bigglesworth whenever they see him. Then I thought of the whole first paragraph up there, and got my mom to take this picture of me as Dr. Stein and Streakers as Mr. Bigglesworth~!
By the way, isn't that the BEST fake cigarette ever? I had people getting after me at the convention because of it.
So I'd just smile, take it out of my mouth, stick it in my pocket, and walk away.

Our computer got a horrible virus and did the Blue Screen of Death, and all the Stein pictures are on that computer. So we'll have to wait for it to get back from the computer doctor to upload the photos. Darn. Unless I have some others on my jump drive or on my laptop...

He's quite a delight to pet! He feels really rubbery yet velvety. Though it doesn't look like it, he has tons of microscopic white hairs all over that make him unbearably soft! He's also REALLY hot, 1 because he's "bald" so there isn't any fur to diffuse the heat between his skin and yours when you touch him, and 2 because Sphinx cats are a few degrees hotter than normal cats! With both of these things together, he makes a really good hot water bottle, but at the same time a total pain when he demands to be curled up next to you under the covers on a hot summer night. T_T

He's the most amazing cat ever! Anyone who likes cats should DEFINITELY get a Sphinx! Their personalities are really something different!
As for cosplay, are there any animes or movies that you really like? If so, who's your favorite character? Is their outfit within your creative abilities (sewing, buying the supplies, styling wigs, etc)? And if not, go to your next favorite character or even come up with an alternate or simplified outfit for the character.
A fun little tip: Cosplay is dressing up like a specific character (Dr. Stein, Harry Potter, Dr. Who, etc), where costumes are just anything (a cat, a vampire, a fairy, etc).

Hmmm... maybe you can do one of those really cool, complicated cosplays that everyone wants to see, but no one can/will do (at least not properly)? A big one I know of is Kefka from Final Fantasy 6. A really complicated costume that not a lot of people can get right. Those are always really nice to see and/or create! Like this Stein one! Although not perfect, I tried my hardest to make it look as close to the original guy, and it ended up looking quite nice, and a lot of people eat that up!
Even though it's really convenient to cosplay as a character that you "look" like (like my first cosplay Irvine Kinneas [link] ), sometimes it's not always for the best. Try moving out of your comfort zone and cosplay as a character that is the complete opposite of you!
In the end, all that matters with cosplay is if you enjoy the costume in the end. Go with whatever you think you'll feel satisfied with, whether it be a simple schoolgirl to an all-out monster! Just have fun with it!
