Echo toes the line between being incredibly shy and annoyingly boisterous. She loves attention, but will shy away if she gets too much, or the wrong kind from the wrong person. She can be really picky with who she deems 'worthy' of being around her. She's seemingly unable to speak, like all of Noél's other kids. Boi really needs to stop making mute kids. Despite this however, she does her own version of "speaking" by mouthing the words that are spoken to her, in her own form of an echo. This habit later became her namesake (because Noél isn't the most clever with names, and he was growing desperate to call her something than "egg" or "baby" after a week or two after she hatched).
She's rather lanky like her father, and her left ear droops a little more than the right, though she's expected to grow out of that, according to Dr. F. She of course loves water, but she's rather scared of fish. Things sneaking up on her and touching her while she's swimming just about turns her inside-out! Even during baths, any unexpected little touch will have her flailing in terror, and with those sharp little claws of hers... let's just say that blood has accidentally been drawn on more than one occasion during bathtime.
Curious and friendly, Echo is known to wander off with her head in the clouds, following whatever whim strikes her. This has lead to several instances of Noél panicking about losing the baby, and has employed several babysitters to help keep an eye on the clueless, quiet little girl (keep an eye out for this later, this will be an actual thing I'll have a journal up for!). Honestly, though Noél has elected to keep Echo for now rather than drop her off at the Nook, he's still a bit flighty about being around consistently. Partially because of his guilt being unable to give her up for a better home, and partially because of his commitment issues. He figures the babysitters, family members, and friends that watch over her and keep her safe and well should be good enough. "Takes a village to raise a child" after all... right?
