I've been reading Régine Pernoud's excellent book on Joan of Arc this past week to help me in some research because I've been wanting to re-do my icon of St. Joan of Arc for quite a while now. I'm also compiling references and sketches for a little project I've had in my mind for awhile: to make a banner based on Joan of Arc's battle standard (though mine would be substantially smaller for practical reasons. I don't need to rally an army from horseback!). I haven't nailed the color scheme I want so I might play around with that digitally until I find something I like.
