I just did this as a quick practice piece to get used to doing drawings on toned paper. I love drawing on toned paper! It's fun to do these little quick things and break out of using the same media all the time. I think I might try to see how ink and ink washes work with the toned paper that I have too. I like charcoal, but it's incredibly messy and therefore difficult to store, and that's even after I spray it with fixative! Hopefully I'll be doing more of these soon, and I'll upload them as I can.

Reference used: www.lifo.gr/uploads/image/3692… I called her "Flora" simply because she has flowers in her hair and that's the name of the Roman goddess of flowers and spring. I have no idea who (or even if it is a specific who) the statue was originally intended to portray.
