I got a question: I;ve found the same photo (probably not edited) here in your gallery [link] I like it more in it;s original state I think beause I don;t edit my photos (only if it;s really necessery like brightness)but I;d like to know how you reached that effect anyway? Oversharpenning/brightness/contrast?

Well spotted! never thought anyone bothered going that far back, especially in my gallery! the original was a scan of a print i shot some years ago, but the new version is a neg scan using some expensive kit ive borrowed and the quality is tons better. I brought out the textures with simple curves and levels adjustments on contrast etc! cheers

Why not? If someone goes throught all the other one`s gallery, then it gives him another point of view of his work. And naturaly it says something about the person and that photos aren`t so anonymous any more.

Yes. Certainly the picture tells a lot about this person, but is where the soul of the photographer is also able to draw on the spirit of the photographed.

Is this hdr or a scan? (or neither!) Amazing how you've brought out the detail of his skin. And the focus on the eyes is textbook.
Was this just some random bloke you stopped in the street?
