I must admit the shading in this piece is marked by the surreal contour of the body. While I cannot find the outline of their full figure, the inky black substance in the hair is great. I feel that the shading is strong along with capturing an essence in the character. great work.

I love the line work and shading on this. It's very expressive in a way that you can make many interpretations of they meaning, but they can be connected to each other at the same time too.

This is so angsty and has a deeper, darker beauty to it. I find it clever how the heart is almost unnoticiable and the girl is faced away with hair hiding her features. Did you use charcoal to sketch this?

Well, the idea of the heart on her back is a representation of a love she has that everyone can see. I was thinking of it being a forbidden love of some kind, hence her being turned away.
