I didn't forget about this character. I remember seeing a cartoon that had him going to the circus. I even got an old glass for Christmas that has his picture on it.

Iβve always loved his desingn even though his Sylvester & Tweety cameos were funnier than his own cartoons (except the scene βone 4 u & one 4 me, two 4 u & one two 4 me...β). Also I always saw a resemblance with Pink Panther, even though he was supposed to be the replacement of Bugs Bunny for lower budget he was apparently not compatible with (the funny thing is that they had one crossover comic together). Anyways I like that way you made him more like a beat caricature.

And I think he was made by some people who worked on The Pink Panther cartoon

I remember I loved the voices and music for this series! Not very typical of a WB cartoon but fun in it's own way IMHO. As always, your style makes everything fun and cool.

Thanks greatly for sharing this pic. And I actually didn't hate either Cool Cat OR Merlin that much. Yeah, some of their cartoons could be mildly annoying, but the characters themselves had potential. On the other hand, I'll also freely admit to being one of the extremely few Scooby Doo fans that actually likes Scrappy.

This is probably blasphemy, but I think Cool Cat's cartoons are lightyears ahead of the Daffy Duck-Speedy Gonzales cartoons they preceded. Nothing can touch the WB studio at its apex, though.
"Injun Trouble" got a big laugh out of my big brother when I showed it to him. One could've done worse to close the book on four decades of Looney Tunes.
I like your your Cool Cat keeps the angularity of the original while still adding your unique flourishes.

And the Daffy and Speedy Gonzales toons were way ahead of the horrible Roadrunner cartoons from this decade.

Yeah, don't think I've ever seen the guy before. And if he came from the last set of LT shorts, then I doubt I'd've seen him, since I never really watched all of their last shorts.

Around what year did this guy come out? I've seen him before but I sorta thought, at the time anyway, that he was somewhat " modern ".

around 1965-69.

The only thing that was left of his legacy is that the Great White Hunter that pursued him has a support role in Tweety's Around the World in 88 Days movie.
Wow, I can't believe I know that.

I learned he was a WB Character just a few days ago, by chance. When I watched it as a kid I always thought he was a Hanna-Barbera cartoon. He really is the symbol of the end of an era.

Eeeyew. I used to watch his cartoons on Nickelodeon (They had an odd selection of Looney Tunes cartoons when they showed 'em), and I definitely remember truly hating this character.
However, I love your rendition of him. You always seem to pull out the really obscure characters...

OMG, I thought Cool Cat was hilarious! Well, not Cool Cat as much as the Safari guy that rolled around in the robotic pink elephant. "Blast you, Cool Cat!" Everyone thinks I'm crazy when I ask if they remember him.π: 0 β©: 0

I heard about this character before, even though I didn't watch the videos with this character before that. It's very interesting that the company decided that it's a good idea to go for the "hip" character for the audience, similar to Sonic. Admittedly, this character didn't strike to me as timeless.
