nice work though i don't know about the edge being painted i prefer to use something shiny to make the edge effect

Tried some rub n' buff on there but it didn't come out exactly like I wanted. Neither did the acrylic paints =/
For the edge, I might just be at a loss.

try bondo if you remove too much =it takes most paint and once you sand an paint it who will be able to tell
