She just fell from orbit and landed butt-first on a rock and NOW she's annoyed.
I really like the suit design, and all the little details and effects. The smoke coming off of her, the framework on her hand, all the little vents on her gun, the dents on her shoulds... It goes together to make a great scene. Nice job.

I could not agree more. And just like your art suggests, a game that (may) takes place before Metroid Fusion timeline (I dislike her Fusion armor too much to say).
Samus is also my favorite female superhero and I can't believe it's been so long since we had a good Metroid game.
Can I guess that you portrayed her getting a kick in the mid-rift and lifting herself up, thinking : "Yeah... it's going to be one of those days, I guess..."
Great body expression.
BTW: I found that recapping Samus' entire history helps to ease the absence of Samus. There is such great history there!
I can't imagine why -- the rumors say -- they want to reboot the franchise with the next Nintendo platform.

since it seems that her story is pretty much full and she doesn't really have as much of a full universe as other video game characters, maybe a retelling of her story with space for more or other characters would be cool too!
anyway i do like her story a lot, just seems a little... i guess... lonely in her universe compared to how big the other video game universes have been getting hahaha
but with that said, nintendo is great at story telling, i'm sure they dont need me to tell them what to do (tho i wouldn't mind helping haha) i just want a cool new game because i love the samus and the metroid games so much!

Looks like the introductory shot to a movie, like her ship just got blown up and she got ejected onto this new environment. Maybe add a fireball in the back to show her ship going down? lol
As for the game, I'd like them to make an interesting game, and use the Metroid universe stuff as skins for the models. Maybe not the best way to go about it but I really don't want to play yet another clone of Metroid Prime 1-3, I'd like more action and story than 100 hours of backtracking.
