Description I was in Nashville Tennessee Saturday so I have been meaning to go through Mount Olivet Cemetery for some time and take some photos of the larger Monuments, so here they are.

Wow! A beautiful tomb fit for a king. Who was he/she, one wonders... a baron of industry?

I'm not sure who this was but mostly rich and famous people were buried in this cemetery which dates back to 1856.

It does look like a very expensive tomb, that only someone rich and famous could afford!

This has to be my favorite. I don't know why I'm fascinated with cemeteries. I plan on being cremated and have my ashes scattered. I guess it makes you think about the lives of the people buried there.

The cemetery where I took these pics (Mount Olivet) has a long history. They have walking tours that show you where many important figures in Tennessee history are buried. There are also many Confederate Soldiers buried there. I took the tour many years ago when I was in grade school and lived only a couple of miles form the cemetery. They took us there on a field trip. Saturday I drove through however.
