Check this backwoods relic. I scanned this deviation from a Kodachrome 25 slide that I developed approximately 35 years ago. It's another image captured during my hike to the top of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hill people actually existed in these things sans power and water. I'm unsure if anyone was in this one, but I came upon a lesser deep-woods shanty that had multiple occupants. No, I didn't attempt to engage any of them. Rather, I remained concealed in the brush and observed from a butthole-safe distance. — See: Deliverance (1972)

In reality, those "folks" weren't affluent enough to own a banjo, nor sensible enough to pick one. They were so primitive … all I could do was gaze in awe and realize that I'd best be utterly invisible, or I could be dead and gone.
