An idea I had for a mouse rabbi, In this series that I'm working on there's all kinds of different people and entire species even that feature prominently in the universe where it's set and I wanted to explore all the different facets of people in that society.The idea of casting an entire race of mouse people as Jewish for me was probably inspired by An American Tail and Maus and the way I see it in their origin story they encountered or discovered Jewish culture and it had such a profound affect on them it transformed their society so much so that they see themselves as part of the diverse Jewish Diaspora.

Very interesting. Does he have a name? Also, did you know that Maus ended up in two volumes because of concern that he'd be accused of ripping off American Tail? (accidentally put it as a reply to someone's comment before)
