Description The was my first project for my digital imaging class. Personally I think it sucks. I got an A, but I think mostly because I looked better in comparison, and my teacher really likes to SOCK IT TO THE MAN!!! If you're not up on your McDonald's marketing oriented lore, the big purple guy in the back is The Grimace. The kid in front is just a kid, though I tried to make him a little Ronald-esque. The story behind the picture is that The Grimace represents McDonald's milkshakes, probably the most unhealthy thing you could ever consume, and they use cartoon figures like these to pander to the poor children, who don't know any better. As you can see by the child's unhealthy sheen, those milkshakes aren't doing him very good, and he is almost thoroughly caught in the cold, unfeeling arms of The Grimace. It's almost as if The Grimace and company were this generation's Joe Camel. On a side note, I don't actually hate American Capitalism, I think it is a sexy, sexy, sexy, beast. I don't hate McDonald's either, even though I worked their, I just think their food is terrible, that's all.

Grimace scares the crap out of me. He always did. Nice work with the chubbiness of the kid's face.

Thanks, I appreciate your comments. I really like how you draw your bird wings, what do you use as reference?

I don't use references I draw everything from my mind, and memories of live birds.
