good point bout the lighting.... that $#!t scares me, but i am trying to challenge myself. Thanks for the comment, every now and then i am still trying to work from my imagination instead of just reference

kinda seems like the only ref ur using is for buildings but even a friend and i complimented your color choices, even if it could use a hair work.

na I use reference for hands pretty often, for a pose as well if I need to make sure it looks right. This background was kinda instinctive, but guided a bit by some pieces I saw online as well. I ended up going with a different background than what I had at first which was FROM the reference.

Well, I like Hex better for starters. But when it comes to characters Hex has a knack for fighting things, groups, or people that are more powerful or larger than him and still finding a way to beat them. He is also a lot rougher quicker to go for blood when it comes to fighting and actually killing than Atom Strange.

I hear that.... I heard that the Court of Owls actually started around Hex's time, so that means he had to deal with a bunch of over the top stuff with that on TOP of everything else. I really didn't know ANYTHING about the character until just recently too so he's started to become a lot more interesting to me now, and thankfully learning about him gave me cool info on him rather than just finding out that he was a generic type of character, so that helped make doing this that much more fun.

Yeah, the fact that he has a bit of the mystical tied to him by-way of his late wife's father being a shaman is cool too. They showed a little of it in the movie but there is a lot more to it than that, and you only ever see that in the comics!

thanks for that Doug, I was kind of torn with how to portray the background, but when messing with the lighting it felt like dusk, I knew the piece was talking to me you know?
