I lied. I'm posting this, then the tail.It's been a while since I did any Pokemon-related art. This is largely because Gen VI had me spiraling into fits of rage every now and again. I do like Pokemon, but I don't like the YGO-esque, power creep-laden turn it took. Admittedly, it started in Gen V, but got so much worse in Gen VI, and with fewer good counterpoints. Gen V still has a lot of my favorite Pokemon in it, including Reshiram, Serperior, Volcarona, and yes, Zoroark. It also had neat things like Drought Ninetales...who has an essay coming.
I may give this a bit of digital paint as practice, but wanted to get the lineart scanned before messing with it in any way, shape, or form. If/when I do, I'll add the facial markings and waaay better lighting. The wish-granting jewel of a fox deserves more life than I gave it here.
Zoroark belongs to Game Freak, Ken Sugimori (I think? Different Pokemon are designed by different people, but aren't always credited), Nintendo, and so on and so forth.

Zoroark is interesting in that proper gameplay usage of it is actually rather deeply connected with the nature of the fox spirit it is derived from: deadly but fragile, and most useful when employed with cunning and skill. We also need more Zoroarks eating livers; please to be wasting Ash before he absorbs more souls to extend his life?
Awesome lineart, BTW; you're one of the few people I know who actually draw Zoroark as anything threatening.

That was sort of the idea. Whereas Ninetales is a kitsune of class, Zoroark is the "evil" fox that is rumored to tear out livers and generally the stuff of horror stories.

Yeah, you sort of have to work at pissing Ninetales off (BTW, I have a Drought Ninetales and it is awesome) whereas Zoroark does seem pretty malicious. Its powers of illusion don't help either, who knows when you could wind up lunch for it...
