I still like this. There's an energy and a sense of fun that I think is missing in the comics. It reminds me of old Sonic art from the Genesis era. Like him waiting at a bus stop, or watering a snail.Β
I like that the scooter is not purple, as it extends the possibilities of the universe this Sally exists in. It's not so insular.Β

That's a good point, actually. There's a bit on insularity into it nonetheless- it's got an Acorn emblem in the front, so I imagine this locks it as being something made in the Kingdom of Acorn- but I like you brought it to attention, I'd just been thinking today how one of the things I most enjoy both in the old Sonic artwork you're mentioning (frankly what I consider the apex of art in the franchise to the point has even given me sage advice to make sure, when I send a portfolio to Archie, to make my art look more Sonic 2014 than Sonic 1996!) and in Sonic the Comic (by force of its wildly divergent and frankly un-Sonic-like inspirations and designs) is that the world feels much bigger. Archie's Sonic always felt, even with the world arcs, that Mobius was just Mobotropolis, the robin hood-ripoff land, and Australia-land, you know? I loved the tiny early details like newspapers or magazines, implying press, implying distribution, implying a bigger world, but that was eventually all phased out
Seems the comic's set to establish a bigger grander world nowadays, though!

We're not even sure if these clothes are the result of deroboticization, but if we want to assume that, there's no reason she wouldn't wear them- one of her main character traits is that she takes the responsibility and blame for everything. She'd keep the clothes exactly to remember what she did.

Now, unless there's some really great plastic surgeons in Mobius, she doesn't have much of a choice other than wearing the face she's left with once she's deroboticized. She would, at the most, belong to DiC, since she's from SatAM. But all intellectual property of SatAM is SEGA's, who then licences it to Archie; So Sally belongs to SEGA.
