Btw, the colouring makes the drawing just that much more interesting. Many different ways to do something and mixing two artist's sytles together are wicked cool, s'pecially here.

I don't think that this style of colouring doens't suit your style! XD I think it gives a lot of deepness to the character, well, I'll have to take a look at that deviant, from what I see, his work is awesome! =^^=
