THIS IS NOT A PAINTING!Full View strongly recommended.
This is a collage.. that took me.. many, many, many hours. I think I completed itin, probably.. 100+ hours or so, over the course of about.. four months. I had so many paper cuts after I was finished. Not to mention all of the poor magazines I destroyed..
It's about 15" x 9"

I started mine last night!I am like 20% done in 3 hours. It is looking really neat. It looks like a painting, maybe done by Van Gogh.

I started tonight! I have the outline drawn. I went through 7 magazines and ripped out a bunch of pages but I will probably need more. Total time - about an hour and half so far. What will take long in the cutting and gluing.

It was very frustrating. xD I'm working on a couple other big projects like this right now.

yeah? i had to do a colleague for a class, probably half that size, aand it took me like 4 weeks
but i wanted so bad to just.. cut out a huge piece and finish it off real fast
you must have incredible patience, and a paper-cut tolerance like... i dont even know
what did you use for glue? my problem was the stuff kept drying clumpy and gross and it didnt even photograph well because it glossed it over :'(

I use just a plain ol' glue stick to get them down, and then I coat the pieces with a paper sealer. Mod Podge (matte finish).

I was thinking of using Mod Podge on mine after I was done! I have never used it though.... Do you just "paint" it on?

Yes, make sure you paint it very thin, and don't go over one spot too many times. If you do, the magazine paper will tear.

I wish I had a tenth of your patience; I have like 50 unfinished drawings waiting for me (and I'll probably never get to them) and they're nowhere near as complicated as that.
I love the color, I love the way it blends together, and I can't imagine how much time you spent in that! Seriously, you must have some sort of buddhist monk's training...
