Jewel was not born to be a princess, her propose was something entirely different…until Marina won the Final Fest. Jewel was thrusted into the role by how she interacted with others, not how well she led anyone. A princess (or prince) was just below Marina herself, they are the law of the city they rule, they are the city in a way as their will is law if Marina says it is.

Jewel was the most spoiled of the princesses, constantly asking Marina of things, even if she could easily acquire it herself (such as Grizzco’s golden eggs). One day she got word that the mysterious Squid Sisters had finally been found and apprehended, and she wanted to see them in person, oh she really wanted to see them, so she asked Marina if she could have Callie and Marie. Marina was hesitant, as she had searched for Marie for a decade at that point and had finally reunited with her, only for Jewel to ask to let her use Marie in whatever experiment she thought of using her in. It took Jewel a long time before she convinced Marina that she wouldn’t too anything too harsh with the sisters. Finally, and Reluctantly, Marina brought the Squid Sisters to Jewel, but before she left she grabbed Jewel by the cheek and told her one thing in a very stern voice.

“If this little experiment you’re going to do even so much as harms them in any way, I will personally see to you being harmed in a way you cannot fathom.”
