I made this in Corel Draw 12, which is a program used for making vector images. Everything you see in the picture is made out of mathematical formulas and curves - there are no pixels involved!
I basically just put a bunch of shapes together and came up with this. Every separate color, highlight, and shadow on the cake is a different shape. It gets pretty time-consuming.
