I have to ask though... How do you transport them, especially if they can't be taken apart? I'm planning on making my own not quite so big pair for an out of town convention and at best I'll have a small car to drive them over.

They can fold into thirds pretty easy. In this case, with the fake wire and fabric feathers on the end they were folded along the feather first inwards, then again mid frame... so... 4ths? 5ths? anywho... these ones managed to fit into a box 48x33x5 (though it was a bit bulgy

This is nothing short of amazing to see an actual cosplay with full size wings.
I absolutely love Maleficent and one of the things that makes her so beautiful are those huge wings. Many cosplayers scale the wings down for many reasons, but to see someone go full size is truly breathtaking.
I recently found your page and I have to say that you a stupendous job on creating wings. Your cosplay wings have to be the best that I have ever come across and I have seen MANY Maleficent cosplays. In fact I did one for my wife...sans wings:

Thank you! I do make scaled down ones as well because, yes, walking around a convention in 14ft wingspan wings is quite a hastle, but so worth it

You're welcome. Usually I would rather see the wings folded up than scaled down. One of the things that makes Maleficent so breathtaking are those huge wings. You nailed this completely and in every way possible. Definitely one of the best Maleficent cosplays I have seen. Another really good one I have seen, the woman's husband actually made the wings fold up using a motor. They were not as large or full as this though, but folded up they looked very movie accurate.
Saw the video. Amazing! Yes, hers worked in a similar fashion and she could also open each one independently.
Fantastic job! Not too many go to this extent with a cosplay. Beautiful!
